PHARE Creative Studio is looking for a qualified candidate to fill in the position of Artistic Director. We are seeking for someone with strong experience in 2D animation, short/long feature movies, with proactive and flexible attitude to roll up his sleeves and pitch in when need it. The ideal candidate must create the overall design and direct the artistic team to develop artwork mostly in animation but also in video, graphic design, illustration and sound recording. The Artistic Director will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing the artistic vision and articulate it with the artists. She/he will demonstrate high motivation and capabilities to coordinate the artistic and technical direction for all the projects, especially in 2D animation and be part of the major decisions about the ongoing development of the aesthetic values and activities after extensive consultation with the Studio Manager. She/he understands the design concept of projects, inspire other creative workers and keep projects on budget and on time. Responsibilities can be progressive based on business activities and growth: - Develop aesthetic concept following the financial and timeline constraints. - Lead and manage artistic team in video, animation, graphic design, illustration, and sound studio production. - Estimate budget and timeline for each project - Have ability to design concept and storytelling. - Provide accurate and timely effort to deliver high quality result even under pressure and tight project deadlines. - Commit to present overall projects to client and provide effective feedback to the Team - Hire, supervise and evaluate artistic and key technical skill to the Team - Supervise the maintenance of written procedures manual for technical and production staff - Foster the development of good relations with other cultural organizations, schools by participating in meetings and joint activities where appropriate - Be an effective communicator (verbal, written, phone, e-mail, Salesforce) - Travel local and oversee from time to time when need it - Carry out duties in a professional and positive manner

- At least degree in animation, visual art, design or related field preferred. - Minimum of 3 years’ experience in 2D Animation studio (short or long feature movie) - Experience in video, graphic design, illustration and recording project is an asset. - Organizational and arts’ project management skills - Proficient user of After Effect, Flash, Adobe premiere, TV Paint, Toonboom - Good command in Adobe suite is an asset - Proactive approach to new technics in animation, software and industry innovations - Pay attention to detail, patient and able to concentrate for long period - Well-developed interpersonal skills in team working, communication, mediation and negotiation - Excellent command in English The assignment is for 1 year as a minimum. If the candidate is successful in his/her mission, he/she will be able to play an important role in the future in social business entity and get progressive position.
