Jobs Description

The chief human resource officer (CHRO) is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation. The CHRO provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive management team, shareholders and the board of directors. Oversee talent acquisition, training and leadership development, career development, and benefits. + Job Responsibilities - Develop and enhance succession planning. - Oversee talent management. - Provide strategic leadership. - Develop strategic recruiting and retention plans. - Create and implement compensation and benefit plans. - Evaluate plans for cost-effectiveness. - Establish a plan for management succession. - Direct the employment activities for both certified and classified employees. - Develop and monitor procedures for processing applications. - Evaluate and revise division functions. - Implement standard interviewing processes. - Monitor accounting systems for providing HR statistics. - Direct investigations of reports of misconduct, arrests, or illegal activities of employees. - Oversee salary administration. - Recommend terminations and additions to personnel. - Develop and monitor HR budget. - Prepare HR reports for management staff.

Jobs Requirement

+ Job Requirement - Bachelor’s degree - Master’s degree in human resources, business administration, education, or equivalent (preferred) Certifications in human resources (preferred) - Advanced knowledge of personnel procedures, including selection and supervision of personnel, wage, salary, employee benefits, and employee communications. - Advanced knowledge of administrative regulation and policy development, and employment law. - Excellent communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills. - Excellent organizational skills. - Ability to manage a budget, including the district-wide budget for personnel. - Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, school board, and other organizations - Ability to problem solve in demanding situations - Experience: Five years successful administrative experience in human resources or educational administration. Demonstrated expertise in human resource operations, leadership and employment law.
