Backstreet Academy is looking for a program manager to head the operations for Backstreet Academy in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Job Duties - Initiate and complete partnerships with various craftsmen, artisans, entrepreneurs, NGOs, restaurants, cafes, hotels and transport providers as required - Managing bookings from tourists as well as the booking system - Coordinate with global offices on marketing materials and operational requirements - Manage other people in the operation to complete the goals of the organization - Report to CEO directly on local office performance - Research Cambodian tourism market and thus execute marketing efforts based on the results - Drive online presence on travel platforms such as Tripadvisor, TravelFish, Lonely Planet etc. Job Requirements Essential - Fluent written and conversational English and Khmer is a must. - Ability to translate between the 2 languages fluently - Outgoing, like to talk to people, able to speak and present well - Technology savvy, able to use MS Word/Excel/Powerpoint Google Docs etc - Have a laptop and motor bike (travel allowance wil be given) - Honesty & Integrity Preferred - Have worked in the tourism industry before and have existing contacts with hotels, tour operators and other relevant organizations in the industry - Have a business education in university - Have done accounting before and is familiar with local accounting practices - Have worked in a startup environment before - Have an interest for social causes, making social impact and initiating change for Cambodia HOW TO APPLY Closing Date: 10th Feb 2017.
