**Introduction Pharmacist will assist with the dispensing and administration of medications in both the inpatient and outpatient departments and will help to maintain the pharmacy. He/she will also be responsible for keeping up to date on medication information and adverse effects. **Main Responsibilities: A. IPD, LAU, ER/ICU and OPD responsibilities 1. Dispense medications to outpatients according to the prescription of the medical doctors after checking if the prescription agrees with the approved standard guidelines. 2. Dispense medications within 24 hours to the inpatient department and surgical ward, according to each patient’s chart. 3. Dispense medication for up to 3 days to patients in the LAU. 4. Collect the daily prescriptions of each department and provide the department with the prescribed drug supply for the next 24 hours. 5. Make a list of emergency supplies of essential drugs for each department. Make sure adequate stocks are kept and renew them if necessary. B. Pharmacy responsibilities 1. Keep the pharmacy in good order. Ensure hygiene and eliminate any pests. 2. Safely dispose of expired or compromised medicines. 3. Clean any empty containers for reuse. 4. Ensure that all medicine containers are properly labeled. 5. Keep daily records of dispensed drugs for both the outpatient and inpatient departments 6. Keep the refrigerator in good order and check the temperature daily. 7. Make daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports of the medicines used and of the inventory for reordering. 8. Dispense medical drugs by ‘first in - first out’ rules. 9. Prepare solutions for pediatric medicines as needed. 10. Prepackage frequently used Out-patient medications. 11. Make forms for recording the medications used. 12. Check quantities of regular medicines that can be used until new supplies are received. 13. Store medical drugs on the shelves by therapeutic and by alphabetic class. 14. Be prepared to respond to emergency call (night, weekend, holiday) when scheduled. 15. Participate in Oncology program: Make sure all oncology drugs are proper calculated and supplied on time. C. Educational responsibilities 1. Supervise and teach the child’s caregiver and nurses how to administer medication to the child to ensure right medicine, right time, right dose. 2. Keep the medical staff informed of any new developments in the pharmacy field. 3. Provide the medical staff with regularly updated dosages and precautions for the medicines available in the pharmacy. 4. Keep a register of adverse reactions to medicines in children. 5. Rounds in the IPD and attend classes with the doctors.

Jobs Requirement

1. Bachelor degree of Pharmacy or higher recognised by ministry of health (Pass State Exam) 2. Willing to learn and improve knowledge. 3. Flexible working times and ability to work day and night. 4. Ability to build good inter-personal relationships. 5. Good command of English and Khmer (written / spoken / comprehension). 6. Computer literacy. 7. Able to work in a team environment involving different departments and able to work in any units at the hospital and satellite clinic. 8. Be enthusiastic and hard working. 9. Be honest and trustworthy.
