- Perform professional work in the filling and dispensing of medication to the patient according to prescription requests issued by doctors. - Review and evaluates physician drug orders for clarify, rationality, dosage, allergic,interaction, incompatibility and overall appropriateness of therapy. - Checks all filled prescriptions for correctness of product, dosage form, quantity dispensed and to ensure quality labeling. - Counsel’s patients about safe and appropriate use of their medications, precautions, drug/food interaction, drug/drug interactions and answer their questions about the therapy. - Maintains control and security of all drugs including dispensing, record keeping and appropriate safekeeping of supplies and checking for expired medications. - Ensures the smooth running of the area especially during peak hours. - Answers physician’s inquiries regarding drugs. - Assist in promote team-building and cooperation amongst the pharmacy staff and the other departments that the pharmacy interacts with. - Follows and understands all pharmacy policies and relevant hospital policies. - Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.
