Jobs Description

The project manager will be the focal point responsible for project implementation, monitoring, periodic review and reporting. She/he will work closely with the project team and assist them in log frame tracking, data collection and analysis, preparation of project reports, advocacy, facilitating mid-term review and end of the project evaluation, sharing of learnings and experiences. He/she will be responsible for working closely with the government authorities and advocate for more inclusive child rights and gender rights policies and their implementation. She/he will also coordinate and have regular communication with international co-partners in the global programme. Key responsibilities: - Manage and undertake the overall responsibility of the project including planning, implementation and reporting results in line with agreements and donor requirements. - Lead and support the project team to meet the project deliverables as per agreed plan and timelines. - Ensure proper utilization of project budget and overall compliance of program quality and financial requirements as per donor and organizational guidelines. - Ensure effective monitoring and evaluation systems are put in place, on the basis of SOS system requirements as well as donor requirements. - Identify opportunities for project partnership building, and support the development of formal partnership agreements with like-minded groups, organisations and/or institutions operating, as well as complementary service providers. - Carry out capacity building of relevant co-workers, especially in areas of Project Cycle Management and effective monitoring. - Be responsible for project communication within SOS, with the government and other relevant stakeholders. - Assure learnings from the global capacity building programme are used to build the capacity of SOS CV Cambodia, and vice versa, share experiences from SOS CV Cambodia with other partners within the programme in the spirit of mutual learning. - Undertake advocacy actions in context of the project with the support of Advocacy Manager of SOS CV Cambodia. - Represent in national or international meetings, workshops, conferences as and when required. - Perform any other task assigned by the superior.

Jobs Requirement

• University degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, International Relations (minimum Bachelor and preferably Master’s Degree) • At least 7-10 years of previous professional experience preferably in International NGOs with institutional funding. • Experience and knowledge of project cycle management, Logical Framework Approach (LFA), results-based planning, implementation, and reporting, monitoring and evaluation (RBM). • Understanding the importance of and be able to apply tools for gender mainstreaming. • Good understanding of planning, budgeting and financial management. • Experience of working on child rights and child protection will be advantage. • Experience of working with community partners. • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Khmer languages. All communication, including reporting, within the global programme will be in English. • Computer skills: sound knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook. • Capacity for networking and teamwork. • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills. • Ability to plan, set priorities and work with a solution-oriented approach. • Willingness and possibility to travel regularly to Ratanakiri province
