-Responsible for overseeing a large staff of multipurpose positions. The workers who fall under a Resident Manager's include everyone from supervisors to the on-the-ground staff in areas such as housekeeping, restaurants, transportation, outdoor recreation, landscaping and event planning. - In charge of coordinating the efforts of the Sales and Marketing Manager to help grow the resort's sales and enhance the resort's branding. This can involve anything from long-term brainstorming sessions to hands-on coaching. - Responsible for keeping track of the resort's spending and earnings, making sure that the resort operates under the approved budgetary guidelines. This includes setting room rates, meal prices, and other payfor-hire services available at the resort as well as planning special promotions and discount offers. - Responsible for making sure the resort's staff is functioning at an acceptable level. This involves overseeing the hiring and firing processes for most personnel as well as conducting regular performance reviews. - Ensure that consumable and non-consumable goods are ordered, correctly stored and issued to the various departments. - Circulate throughout all restaurants, bars and banqueting departments, maintaining a high profile with customers and staff. - To be fully aware of trends in the industry and make suggestions for improvement of the catering operation. - To monitor the quality and quantity of all food and beverages items served - To ensure the service meet the standards and satisfaction is maintained - Maintaining good relation with guests, staff and other departments - Ensure the confidentiality of guest’s information and private behavior
