Motorola Solutions is looking for a Head of Communications professional to work alongside our company leaders to help build the external presence in the Technology Industry by leveraging their network of connections with influential voices and organizations. This role will be equal parts communications pro, ambassador, storyteller, executive liaison and idea generator. The Head of Communications will be responsible for creating a communications strategy designed to help amplify Motorola Solutions voice and highlight the work of its strategic investments in Software, Services, Video, Analytics and Voice Communications. Scope of Responsibilities: Develop and lead implementation of the company wide internal/external communications strategy, investor relations, social media, crisis communications and issues management Serve as a strategic business partner to company leaders, providing communications counsel and proactive programs to help drive growth Cultivate relationships with key members of the media and serve as company spokesperson Create well-crafted, concise and highly engaging communications plans and materials Utilize metrics to support the value proposition of the function Specific Knowledge and Skills: Advanced experience working with media, including top-tier engagement (proactive placements and reactive management) Skilled at exerting influence, as well as collaborating, navigating and managing at all levels of the company and outside agencies and partners Executive presence and ability to provide strategic counsel / coaching to executives Proactive approach to keeping leaders informed and reporting team results Experience with latest communications tools and channels, including social media and owned content Strong financial acumen and ability to work with Investor Relations teams Ability to quickly understand MSI story and turn into actionable plans with strong messages that change/reinforce marketplace perception Understanding of communications best practices, media landscape and storytelling opportunitiesStrategic thinker who can build a network, gather information and translate it into communications projects and plans that generate results Dynamic leader for high-performing team Serious commitment to excellence, quality and attention to detail Ability to work in a variety of media, meet tight deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously and adjust as circumstances change Prior communications experience working in Technology Industry Previous experience working in Corporate Communications environment

Bachelors Degree; Emphasis in Journalism, Communications or English 10+ years of communications experience
