- Reads and follows preventive maintenance schedules as approved by Facility Manager; Performs maintenance activities. - Cleans and maintains machines - Directs, oversees and verifies work of suppliers; contacts suppliers to ask questions, obtain information and better understand equipment. - Assists the Engineering and Maintenance Manager with mechanical preventive maintenance. - Performs maintenance activities to restore the building, equipment and facilities to working order, including testing, troubleshooting and repairing. - Observes functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards, problems, and the need for service, repair and/or replacement of electrical, electronic and mechanical components. - Assists the Engineering and Maintenance Manager with mechanical repairs. - Observes equipment and work processes and brainstorms improvement ideas; studies equipment performance and collaborates with production workers to understand equipment problems and engage in problem solving. - Maintains backups of programs for all production-related electrical devices. - Maintains equipment manuals and files, so that they are readily available. - Procures parts and tools with approval of facility Manager. - Ensures that equipment, tools and parts are secure and accounted for to minimize theft and report any losses. - Supports the operation by following pre-startup procedures (before the regular shift) and/or post-shutdown procedures (after the regular shift) per defined checklists. - Supports the operation during emergency shutdown and startup procedures.

- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable university, including strong mathematical and reasoning skills - Willing and able to study books, technical journals and online to independently learn how to solve problems. - Motivated, self-directed, persistent and responsible - Able to speak and writing English, including technical English, in order to communicate with equipment suppliers, most of whom communicate in English and all equipment manual are provided in English language - Familiarity with MS Windows software (i.e. Excel, Outlook)
