- Assist the Managers onboard during shift operations. - Responsible for overseeing and conducting the training of new staff onboard, and general duties listed under Cage Cashier. - Balancing of the cage beginning of the shift. Ensure that all entries listed on the Main Bank Closeout Sheet Inventory column is verified and recorded correctly at open against physical item held by Cage. - Ensure that correct foreign exchange rate been updated into system and forex display board. - Totaling foreign currencies taken for the cruise, and calculating the profit and loss incurred for the trading day. - Balancing total credit card withdrawal throughout the cruise to the Credit Card Settlement. - Balancing total hopper fills jackpots, foreign currency, traveler cheques, and credit card withdrawal to the Cashier balance sheets. - To ensure that all documentation and paperwork received at the Main Bank via CMT from the Cashier windows are completed procedurally. - Supervising all cashier transactions to ensure correctness and procedures are adhered to. - Assigning the Cage Cashiers relevant duties in the cage, ensuring they are competent with the work and providing good customer service. - Give practical training to less experienced staff, and continue to broaden the knowledge of more experienced Cashiers. - Checking the cashier’s window floats after balancing at the end of a shift. - Replenishing the float of the cashier from main bank, ensuring they have enough money either by issuing float increases, or transferring chips to the chip bank in exchange for cash - Assisting with buy-ins and issuing of chip warrants using Club Incentive Program (CIP) and CMTS - Supervising on the soft count, checking that amounts have been entered into the computer correctly and balancing the total cash to the computer. Checking that the drop boxes are all opened and emptied, and all cash is counted. - Ensuring surveillance is informed of pay-outs, chip warrants, hopper fills, jackpots and any other necessary information. - Taking all Cashier floats, foreign currency, buy-in money, and main bank cash-up to the vault at the closing or when docking in port, and supervising the counting of all the cash by the casino accountant. Then securing all the cash and drop boxes in the vault ensuring everything is locked away. - Delegating general duties to the cashier ensuring work is evenly distributed. - Double-checking front monies, before sealing. - Informing the manager of any problem relating to work.
